Coronita a Santa Filomena

La coronita es una devoción tradicional en la Iglesia Católica ligada a algun santo, y es un conjunto de oraciones, comúnmente rezadas con ayuda de una especie de rosario en este caso la coronita de Santa Filomena (Su día festivo es el 11 de agosto) tiene trece cuentas rojas (símbolo del martirio), tres cuentas blancas (símbolo de la virginidad) y la medalla de la Santa, pero puede hacerse fácilmente sin el por su simplicidad.

Modo de rezar la Coronita

En la Cruz rezar: un Credo
En las cuentas Blancas rezar: tres Padre Nuestros a la Santísima Trinidad en honor de su pureza,
En las cuentas Rojas en honor de los trece años que vivió la Santa, la siguiente oración"
Salve Oh Santa Filomena quien despues de María eres mi mediadora con el Divino esposo intercede por mi ahora y en la hora de mi muerte, Santa Filomena, Amada hija de Jesus y Maria, ruega por nosotros que recurrimos a Ti.
que puede sustituirse por trece Ave Marías y entre cada Ave María rezar:
"Santa Filomena por la sangre que derramaste por amor a Jesucristo, alcánzame la gracia que te pido."
y en la Medalla: Rezar:
Salve Oh Ilustre Santa Filomena que Valientemente ofrendaste tu sangre por Cristo, bendigo al señor por todas las gracias que te concedio durante tu vida especialmente a la hora de la muerte. lo alabo y glorifico por el honor y poder con el cual te coronó, e imploro a ti el obtener para mi las gracias que te pido por medio de tu intercesión Amen

St Philomena’s Chaplet

The Chaplet is made up of red and white beads.
The red beads stand for the martyrdom of the Saint and her 13 Years of age
and the white beads indicate her Virginity and Purity of Heart.

The Apostles Creed is recited on the Crucifix, asking for the gift of Faith.
Three Our Fathers are said on the first 3 white beads in honour of the Most Holy Trinity giving thanks for the gifts given to the Holy Virgin.
Next, we have 13 red beads, each one represents a year in the life of St. Philomena. On the red beads the following prayer may be said, or substituted by the Hail Mary, followed by: “Saint Philomena, pray for us.”

Hail, O Holy Saint Philomena, my dear Patroness,
as my Advocate with thy Divine Spouse,
intercede for me now, and at the hour of my death.
Saint Philomena, beloved daughter of Jesus and Mary,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

On the chaplet's medal you say: “Hail, O, illustrious Saint Philomena, who so courageously shed your blood for Christ. I bless the Lord for all the graces, He has bestowed upon thee, during thy life, and especially at thy death; I praise and glorify Him for the honour and power with which He has crowned thee, and I beg thee to obtain for me from God the graces I ask through thy intercession. Amen.”
